Thomas E. Meade

Thomas E. Meade grew up in Lebanon, Ohio and attended St Xavier High School. He began college at Ohio State University and graduated with a bachelor of arts in History from James Madison University in Virginia. He attended law school at American University’s Washington College of Law where he spent a summer abroad studying European Union Law and International Human Rights. While at American, Tom was a member of the Health and Law Society and the Program Coordinator for the Harry Blackmun Summer College of Law which serves minority high school students in the Washington DC area who aspire to attend law school. In his third year, Tom completed an externship as the legal intern to the General Counsel for the Community Relations Service, an agency within the Department of Justice.
Tom began his legal career with the United States Department of Justice serving as a federal mediator and conciliation specialist. He transferred to Kansas City, Missouri where his jurisdiction covered the states of Iowa and Missouri. Tom has an extensive background in mediation, conflict resolution, and alternative dispute resolution and is an accredited mediator with specialized training as a family law mediator in Ohio. Tom is licensed to practice in Ohio, Missouri and Kansas. His practice focus is domestic relations matters, paternity and related juvenile law and mediation.
Tom and his family reside in West Chester where his extended family has lived for generations. He is excited to be back in his hometown near friends and family. Tom is a member of the American, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Butler County, Missouri, Kansas and Kansas City Bar Associations. He is a member of the various family law committees and sections of each of those associations, keeping abreast of the latest developments in his area of practice. He is also an active volunteer with Pro Kids and their young professional organization.
